FALL ENGAGEMENT IN PHILADELPHIA | SHAWN + SHARELL | ARIZONA WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I am so excited to share Shawn + Sharell’s engagement session on the blog!

We got together last fall on the outskirts of Downtown Philly along Kelly Dr. where Shawn + Sharell loved to walk alongside the Schuylkill River and Boathouse Row. We found some great little spots and Shawn + Sharell sweetly held tight to each other the whole session.

Shawn + Sharell met in college at La Salle University. After a few years of mutually crushin’ on each other, they started dating and found peace in an easy balance. They are an opposites attract kinda couple with Shawn being outgoing, quick to make a corny joke or crazy face to make Sharell laugh. And Sharell is shy and introverted, unafraid to claim how socially awkward she is when she references how she ran away nervously giggling when Shawn proposed to her at the Eiffel Tower during the tail end of their Europe trip, in front of plenty of strangers. She was beyond surprised and obviously said yes which brings us to today as they get ready to become husband and wife!

During our first meeting call, I asked them what they love about each other- one of my signature questions that helps me see the couple mutually through their eyes. Shawn told me how he loves how caring and supportive Sharell is. An oncology nurse, her giving heart provides the most needed kind of compassion without question and she never fails to bring that warmth home to Shawn and their pup Cleo too. Sharell loves how smart and ambitious Shawn is, how he makes her laugh, something you can’t help but notice in their engagement session. He’s her best friend and they both couldn’t be more excited to simply spend their lives together.

With how crazy this year has been on couples getting married, I’m so honored to photograph their special day and get to see Shawn + Sharell have the celebration their love deserves! Congrats you two!
