DOWNTOWN GETTYSBURG ENGAGEMENT | BRAD + BECCA | ARIZONA ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

DOWNTOWN GETTYSBURG ENGAGEMENT | ADVENTURE PHOTOGRAPHER

2020-03-28_0029.jpg

Anyone who’s ever asked me, “what is your favorite session to photograph?” has heard me say without hesitation - “Engagements!”.

Engagement sessions are always fun to me because I love the 1:1 contact between the couple without an audience, and the 1:1 direction I get to have with my couple. There’s always a fun dynamic that engagements hold. We get to explore, we take our time so that everyone can truly just be in their element together, and the results - come on. You can dispute the magic!

Brad + Becca are nothing short of that, just straight up charm. Brad has this subtle wit to him that can get Becca laughing instantly, while Becca has this soft warmth that draws him in naturally. They’re body language together needs no instruction, it just fits.

When I got to know Becca over the phone during our booking meeting, she told me that they’d love to photograph in downtown Gettysburg for their e-session. It’s where they live, technically where they met in their shared apartment building, and captures their old-soul connection together. They both guided me around to their favorite spots - starting outside their building, then to the The Majestic Theatre and neighboring railroad tracks. Brad gave me some artistic inspiration with a local parking garage (I’m telling ya, they’re the best spots to shoot!). Then, we stopped at what used to be the Waldo Art gallery with an awesome splash wall mosaic and finished up at a quiet spot outside downtown in the Gettysburg Battlefields.

No matter what coronavirus brings, I cannot wait to photograph these two on their wedding day.
Congrats Brad + Becca!

ELOPEMENT SPOTLIGHT (3/3)

Here it is! The final stop on Brad + Becca’s anniversary-elopement day, ending with a red rock sunset at Crescent Moon Ranch. Just a short hike into the park, we found a secluded lake and Becca surprised me when she k
ELOPEMENT SPOTLIGHT (2/2)

Growing up back in Maryland, I usually would only plan to shoot indoors for rainy wedding days since portraits could almost always be rescheduled quickly. But out here in Arizona, you HAVE to be prepared if your clients vis

Aside from the red rock mountains, my favorite thing out here in AZ is the hot air balloons. I’ve never lived in a place where you can see them from pretty much any direction at sunrise and sunset, most of the year.
Maternity and Family Newborn sessions are what I shoot least often and I totally get it- parents are trying to find their groove, mama doesn’t feel confident or comfortable, it’s pretty low on the priority list when getting ready for a ne
