WHEN TO BOOK

it’s always a good idea to grab the date you want in advance and i recommend at 3+ weeks prior. this gives you time to prep and pay with the best booking to fit your schedule.

time TO SHOOT

it’s all about that sunset

i primarily photograph at sunset/golden hour to have the best warm glow and even lighting possible.

HOW TO PREP

treat yo’self

take that nap, eat some food, and hit the bathroom. photo sessions (and life) are no fun when you’re cranky with zero energy and an empty stomach.

WHERE TO GO

get creative

choose a sentimental place that your kids love to play at or a go for a quiet in-home session where you’re most comfortable. explore your local town or get back to nature in a nearby park. just make it personal to you.

WHAT TO WEAR

keep it comfy, casual, and classy

i’m a fan of darker colors mixed with neutrals and a few patterns. avoid neon or overly dominate colors like bright red or orange. make sure you’re comfortable no matter what position (standing, sitting, walking) and if ya want to get fancy, make it your first outfit.

what to bring

prep vs. prop

it’s always a good idea to bring some water to stay hydrated, layers to stay warm or take off to stay cool, and a blanket to use for ground sitting photos or to snuggle up together in. bringing signs, photos, baby items, flower crowns, and any other props is all up to you!

HOW TO POSE

be authentically you

i’m all about the candids, giving you free reign to get real. i help with pose direction along the way but you’re in charge of your session. bring that confidence, the laughs and crazy faces, all who you are to the surface.

just in case
