“You can’t be anything but happy on your wedding day.”

wedding | FAQ
what is your availability?
my availability can vary each year and i take a limited amount of weddings each year in order to best serve the incredible couples I get to work with. To find out if I’m available for your date, feel free to send in a wedding connect form.
i saw you’re moving! are you still available in maryland?
i’ll be moving to PHX, AZ in january 2020 but am still keeping bookings open for maryland weddings! i’ve made such great connections with amazing venues and wedding vendors since 2011 so coming back to photograph in maryland is a no-brainer.
** availability is still open and any 2020 MD weddings booked by the end of 2019 will have no added travel fee!
what is required to reserve our date? is there a payment schedule?
an $1,000 deposit and a signed agreement reserves your date and is required at the time of booking. the remaining payments are split into two dates; the final payment being due 1 month before the wedding.
we’d love to move forward - what’s next?
yaaas! this is exciting news! contact me through my wedding connect form - we’ll make a date to get together and talk over all the details!
when + how are the photos delivered?
a wedding sneak peek is sent 5 days after the event and the final gallery will be delivered via online gallery 6 weeks from the wedding date.
how many photos will we receive in the final gallery?
i deliver anywhere between 400 - 1,000 photos depending on the overall coverage time and if a second photographer is included on the day-of. elopement collections typically include 150 - 300+ photos total.
do you have business insurance and/or back up gear? what do you photograph with?
yes, to both. :) i use a Nikon D750 full frame camera body and all prime lenses.
do you travel for weddings/elopements?
yes! i am always down to adventure to new places for my couples. travel can vary so we’ll go over specifics based on what you need!
what is a “first look”?
a “first look” is an opportunity for the bride and groom to “reveal” to each other before their ceremony. this is an awesome time for the couple to have their own private moment together and guarantees more portraits of just the bride and groom in the final gallery. this is totally optional.
this also means that all formals can be photographed before the ceremony, making sure you enjoy the cocktail hour right after saying “i do!”.
what does “unplugged” mean?
an unplugged ceremony reminds your guests to be “in the moment” with you and not snapping photos with their phones or cameras. this is the best way to give your photographer (and videographer) the full view they need to capture every essential moment (like when the groom first sees the bride) without any obstacles. i can’t recommend this enough!
who has rights to the photos? can we share via IG/FB and are we allowed to print?
of course! my clients have photo rights as well as a personal print + sharing release included in their collection. I love seeing post shares and am so thankful when any credit (@brittneynestle / #brittneynestlephoto) is given!
how long have you been photographing weddings? did you go to school for it?
I’ve been a wedding photographer since 2011 after i finished my photography certification in film and digital media. i launched BNP full time in 2014 and have photographed over 100 weddings in MD, DC, PA, VA, DE, FL, and NV.
what’s your “style”?
my style is primarily candid and emotive. i focus on capturing my couples in their element on their wedding day as it unfolds naturally. my photos are retouched with dark + moody tones and rich contrasted colors.
what key advice do you give your couples?
1. take a day or two every month for a “date night break” and spend time together without talking wedding details. | because planning can get stressful, this helps build back up excitement for the big day instead of feeling so relieved when it’s over.
2. plan a private moment for just the two of you on the wedding day. | wedding days go by quickly so plan a few minutes where you can simply enjoy officially being married. I recommend this either after the ceremony (during cocktail hour) or after dinner (before mingling). don’t wait until just the end of the night- you’ll be exhausted!
3. go with the flow. | sometimes it rains. sometimes things run late. don’t let it ruin your day. if the unexpected happens, focus on what matters most - celebrating your love surrounded by those that mean the most to you.
why should we choose BNP?
i'm passionate about marriage and the incredible gift it is. I encourage my couples to never lose sight of why they love each other so the wedding can truly be a celebration of their love story. my couples aren’t just clients to me, they’re dear friends.

how do you make a custom timeline?
1-2 months before the wedding date, I’ll send you a wedding questionnaire that gives me all the details to put together your custom wedding timeline. this ensures all your wedding photo needs are taken care of and the day-of has an even flow for all vendors to work together easily.
